Having chosen your car from Ness Motors means you have the maximum protection available due to the care we take in selecting the cars we retail, the thorough inspection to which we subject them and the exceptional warranty with which we supply them.
Warranty or Insurance Policy?
The vast majority of used car warranties are actually insurance policies and this can lead to claims being rejected in many cases as the insurance company tries to cut their claims cost. The Ness Motors Warranty is not an insurance policy but is a true warranty backed by Ness Motors, there is no third party involved you are therefore dealing direct with us and our aim is your complete satisfaction.
Your warranty will last for a maximum period of 36 months or 36,000 miles from the date of sale, which ever comes first.
Your car must be serviced and have its MOT Tests carried out by Ness Motors in accordance with the manufacturer’s schedule.
Your warranty covers the majority mechanical and electrical components of your car that were manufacturer’s original fitments.
Recovery – Up to £50 including VAT will be paid towards the cost of recovery where the breakdown is due to the failure of a component covered by this warranty and a valid claim is accepted.
Overnight Accommodation – Up to £60 including VAT will be paid towards hotel accommodation or a return rail ticket where the breakdown is due to the failure of a component covered by this warranty and a valid claim is accepted.
Hire Car – Up to £20 including VAT per day will be paid for up to 5 days towards the cost of a hire car where the breakdown is due to the failure of a component covered by this warranty and a valid claim is accepted. This becomes available 24 hours after the breakdown is reported and accepted by us.
Ness Protection – Our vehicle preparation is very high, if a component not covered by this warranty fails during the first 30 days or 1000 miles from date of delivery whichever comes first, this is will be covered by Ness Motors.
This warranty provides cover against the actual and sudden mechanical failure or breakdown of a covered component which results in the sudden stoppage of it’s normal function and which necessitates repair or replacement (at Ness Motors discretion). Failure or breakdown resulting from normal wear and tear is excluded.
Faults must be reported immediately, any damage caused by continued use of the vehicle after the fault is apparent is specifically excluded.
This warranty does not cover vehicles used for hire and reward (e.g. Taxis, Self Drive Hire or Driving Schools) or vehicles used in any kind of competition.
Any customisation or modification carried out on the vehicle will render the warranty void.
This warranty is not transferable.
The following are not covered by this warranty:
Service items or components which are expected to require periodic placement.
Wheels, Tyres, Spark Plugs, Wiper Blades and Arms, Auxiliary Drive Belts, Brake Shoes, Pads and Discs, Window Regulators, Batteries, Fuses, Wiring Connections and Looms, Keys and Key Fobs, Bodywork, Paint, Trim, Upholstery, All Weather Strips and Seals, Water Ingress, Handles and Hinges, All Glass and Bulbs, Communication Systems and Connection Equipment, In Car Entertainment Systems, Cracks and Failures to Valves and Cylinder Head as a result of Carbon Build-up.
Damage caused by accident, impact, neglect, corrosion or abuse is specifically excluded.
Damage caused by timing belts or auxiliary belts is specifically excluded.
Rattles and squeaks.
Oil leakage which does not result in oil dripping onto the ground.
The information above relates to 'The Ness Warranty' provided for Renault vehicles sold from 1st August 2009 onwards, with less than 50,000 miles. Any vehicle sold that does not match this criteria will be covered by a similar warranty but some information may be different, please ask for details.
